"Leaders Extending Ladders" at the Trump Soho

Veronica Webb with the Seven Bar Foundation offers hand ups, not handouts to underprivileged women in NYC. At the "Leaders Extending Ladders" event at the Kastel bar in Trump Soho, Veronica and Seven Bar hosted powerhouse women in the city joining forces to increase awareness of the microfinance movement.

Seven Bar Foundation literally helps from the bottom up--at the event, two tickets were raffled off to Lingerie New York 2010. Accessing the sensuality, seduction, and confidence of the lingerie industry, Seven Bar Foundation uses all proceeds from their couture lingere shows to empower women to start their own business, gain financial independence, and begin the fight to alleviate poverty.

In attendance was the Director of the Seven Bar Foundation Renata Mutis Black and Partner/ Sheriff Kim Hoedeman. Designer Rachel Roy, along with representatives from LVMH, Cole Haan, Polo Ralph Lauren, Credit Suisse, and microfinance leader and Seven Bar Foundation Partner, Acción USA, all bumped glasses and ideas together at Kastel for a night of innovation, lingerie, and the power of microfinance.
